The visit, which included notable figures such as Mr. Amentor Sam Aziakar (Head of Technical Services), Ing. Joshua Kwabena Duodo (Head of Technical and Special Products), and Kojo Takyi (Terminal Manager-Bottling Plant), aimed to strengthen the longstanding relationship between the two companies, a partnership that dates to the year 2000.
The meeting commenced in GCMC’s boardroom, where Dr. Dake reflected on the positive collaboration and engagements that have characterized the relationship over the years. He emphasized the importance of continuing this synergy to advance the Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM), a crucial initiative for both organizations. Dr. Dake expressed his hopes for closer collaboration with GCMC, particularly in encouraging state-owned companies to adopt and improve on the CRM.
The GOIL’s team praised GCMC for its impressive work on refurbished cylinders and encouraged the GCMC team to maintain their high standards and output in the mist of the various challenges both parties are aware of and working hard to resolve. In a crucial discussion, Goil inquired about GCMC’s ability to meet the demands projected for 2026, as well as potential changes that could impact future operations.
Responding to these inquiries, Mr. Abdul-Rahman Mankir, Managing Director of GCMC, reassured the GOIL delegation of GCMC’s commitment to making the CRM a household name. He highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to retool its facilities to meet the increasing demands of GOIL and other stakeholders efficiently. Mr. Mankir expressed gratitude for the enduring partnership with GOIL and expressed optimism for future business opportunities that could arise from their collaboration.
Following the meeting, both teams participated in a factory tour where they inspected GCMC’s production processes and familiarized themselves with the cylinder refurbishment operations. The Goil team left with a strong satisfaction regarding GCMC’s operational capabilities and expressed interest in future visits as a means of strengthening the bond between the two companies.
This visit underscores the mutual commitment of GOIL and GCMC to foster a collaborative environment, essential for not only enhancing operational efficiencies but also ensuring that the goals of both organizations are met effectively.
As the industry progresses, such engagements are vital in building robust partnerships that can support the sustainable growth and success of both parties involved. The continuous dialogue between GOIL and GCMC is a testament to the importance of collaboration in achieving shared objectives in government’s plan to achieving green transition.
